Airport Shuttle Bus Service

Terms of Service - Last Updated: 1st August, 2024

The Airport Shuttle Bus service is a passenger transportation service provided by Alice Silver Passenger Services with general business hours between the hours of 7am to 8pm Monday to Sunday ACST and operates between Alice Springs Airport and any Hotel or equivalent accommodation within Alice Springs.

Bookings

Bookings can be made through our online booking system 24 hours per day via our website at: https://alicespringsairportshuttle.com.au/. E-Tickets are delivered by email shortly after the booking is made and the persons will be notified by email once the booking is complete.

You may also book your shuttle service by either calling our office on 0477-245-941 and speaking with our friendly staff, or by sending an email to bookings@alicesilver.com.au.

When sending us an email to request a booking, please make sure to include the following information:

  • First and Last Name of all passengers travelling on the booking,
  • For services going from Hotels in Alice Springs to the Alice Springs Airport:
    • Your pickup location (eg. name of the Hotel),
    • Your dearting flight information (eg. Flight Number)
  • For services going from the Alice Springs Airport to Hotels in Alice Springs:
    • Your arriving flight information (eg. Flight Number),
    • Your destination Hotel in Alice Springs

Group discounts are available when there are 4 (four) or more passengers travelling under the same booking. To have the group discount applied to your order, please contact one of our friendly staff either by phone or by email, quote your order number (eg. Asxxxxxx) and we will be happy to apply the discount to your order.

A discount is also available to bookings where a return service has also been booked on the same order. This discount will be automatically added to your order during the check-out process.

The Return Discount pricing cannot be combined with the Group Discount pricing.

As flight times may vary due to Airline operational requirements and seasonal variations, all flight and departure times should be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to your departure.

Once you have received your confirmation ticket via email, please ensure that you read your booking confirmation email thoroughly and make sure that all the details provided are correct as we will not be held responsible if you miss your bus due to incorrect information you have entered on your booking when you book via the website.

Please note: All members of the reservations team are required at times to drive the busses and for driver safety, calls to our team may be diverted to our after-hours voicemail. All after-hours enquiries will be answered periodically.

Arrivals

Please make your way to our service desk at the Alice Springs Airport, located outside the airport adjacent to the luggage carousel area, as soon as you land; Check-in with the driver and they will give you instructions to the bus once you have collected your luggage.

The available times/sessions on our online booking form are the approximate times that the shuttle bus will depart the airport. Please ensure to select the time that suits your arrival. If you are unsure which time-slot to select, please refer to the shuttle schedule that can be found on our website at https://alicespringsairportshuttle.com.au/timetables/.

The shuttle times for services running from Alice Springs Airport to Hotels in Alice Springs are approximate only; the actual departure time will depend on what time the flight actually arrives. The shuttle service will meet with all arriving commercial flights, giving customers plenty of opportunity to collect their luggage from the luggage carousel and make their way out to the bus before the decision is made by the driver for the bus to depart from the airport.

Departures

Once your departure is booked you will receive an e-ticket with your shuttle pickup time (please check that all details are correct). The bus will wait ONLY 5 (five) minutes past pickup time and leave. We will not be held responsible if you are late and miss your shuttle. Please be at your pickup point at least 15 (fifteen) minutes prior to your pickup time.

The available times/sessions on our online booking form are the approximate times that the shuttle bus will arrive at the airport, your actual pickup time will be earlier than this and depend on your pickup location. Please ensure to select the time that suits your departure. If you are unsure which time-slot to select, please refer to the shuttle schedule that can be found on our website at https://alicespringsairportshuttle.com.au/timetables/.

Flight Delays

If a flight is more than 1 hour delayed, we MAY also delay the shuttle service to coincide with the scheduled flight time; in this case we would make contact with the primary person on each relevant booking to inform you of the new pick-up time for your departing flight.

For arriving flights, we are constantly monitoring the flight arrival times and will adjust the shuttle service accordingly to coincide with the arrival time of each serviced flight.

Travel Insurance

Passengers are strongly encouraged to purchase their on travel insurance prior to their departure as a protection against any loss, damage, or cancellation.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations that are made more than 24 (twenty-four) hours prior to a booked shuttle service will be eligible for a full refund or a Credit at the full discretion of Alice Silver Passenger Services. Credits will be held for a maximum of 12 (twelve) months.

No refund or credit is available for cancellations with less than 24 (twenty-four) hours notice, or if any passenger fails to board the bus at the pickup.

Luggage Policy

Passenger luggage is limited to 2 (two) large suitcases and 1 (one) piece of hand luggage per person.

Additional luggage will be charged at $10.00 per bag – when booking online, please select the extra luggage option and set the quantity of extra luggage. If you are speaking with our Reservations team, please let them know so that they can book this for you.

If you are taking a large sports equipment item with you, such as a bicycle in a box/bag or a surfboard, this will incur an extra charge of $15.00 per item. Please ensure to add this to your booking online, or notify our staff if you are speaking with our Reservations team.

If you arrive with extra luggage that has not been booked, we reserve the right to charge for the extra items.

Although we take very good care in handling and transporting luggage, we accept no responsibility and shall not be held liable for any lost or damaged luggage; Personal and valuable items should be carried with you as hand luggage (eg. jewellery, expensive equipment, cash, computers, and electronic equipment).

Lost Property Policy

Lost property can be claimed by contacting our office during business hours on 0477-245-941.

Alice Silver Passenger Services takes no responsibility for lost property. If any lost property has been located, it will be held at our depot in Alice Springs for a period of 3 (three) months.

After the 3 (three) month period has passed, all lost property items will be donated to charity.

If you wish to have your lost property delivered to you, additional costs may apply.

Mobility

All passengers need to ensure that they can board, disembark and move around the bus unaided, or alternatively, travel with a care assistant or companion.

Wheelchairs

You must advise us at the time of booking if you or another passenger on the booking has a wheelchair. If a wheelchair bound passenger is booked, they must have appropriate carers to assist with boarding the bus. The driver will make every effort to assist; however, they may not have the training or physical attributes to be able to help at all times.

It is recommended that passengers’ wheelchairs are of the collapsible variety. If this is not possible, it may be possible to organise transport on our wheelchair accessible vehicle, subject to vehicle availability and prior arrangement.

Assistance Animals

Under Australian laws (such as the Disability Discrimination Act) we cannot and will not refuse access to our service to any persons who are travelling with an assistance animal, subject to the following conditions:

  • The assistance animal must be registered with the appropriate authorities for your state, or
  • for states/territories where there is no formal system of accreditation; the assistance animal must have completed and passed an approved Public Access Test, and
  • You must be able to provide proof of registration / PAT completion on request, and
  • The passenger travelling with the assistance animal meets all other terms within this policy.

Communications

In connection with your use of services provided by Alice Silver Passenger Services, we may send you notifications, service announcements, administrative messages, promotions and other information via email, SMS, and other channels. You may opt out of any or all of those communications (other than important communications relating to your booking) at any time.

General Terms

  • No food or drinks are to be consumed while travelling on the bus.
  • Smoking and the consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs is prohibited in all vehicles under Australian Federal and Territory Government Regulations.
  • Any passengers displaying violent, aggressive or disorderly behaviour will not be permitted on the bus; any paid fares will be forfeited.
  • Don’t interfere with Shuttle Bus or try to access it using a method other than the interface and the instructions that we provide.
  • Respect the privacy of your fellow users. In particular, do not misuse personal information about Customers or Drivers that you may access through your use of the Service.
  • You agree not to use Shuttle Bus for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or otherwise in violation of applicable law and regulation. We may suspend or stop providing services to you if you do not comply with our terms or policies or if we are investigating suspected misconduct.
  • Animals other than approved Assistance Animals are not permitted to travel on our busses.
  • For Missed flights / Cancellations beyond our control due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. road closures, flooding, natural disasters), no refunds will be given; however, we will re-book your shuttle at no extra charge. We can offer a credit and hold it on file for up to 12 (twelve) months from the date of the original booked shuttle service.
  • The passenger, his/her luggage and goods are carried entirely at his/her own risk. Alice Silver Passenger Services will not be liable to the passenger or to the person who purchased the ticket for the death, sickness of or any other injury to any passenger or for any other loss or damage suffered by the passenger whether personal or consequential or otherwise, and although Alice Silver Passenger Services may, or may not permit passengers to bring or place personal effects, luggage or other goods on the shuttle bus, we will not be liable for the loss of or damage to any personal effect, luggage or other goods, whether or not such loss or damage is suffered, or is caused by anything occurring before, after, or in the course of any journey.
  • Passengers who have purchased an E-ticket must give the reservation confirmation code or a print out of their booking to the driver. Passengers who have made a phone booking will need to provide the driver with the reservation confirmation code letters.
  • Alice Silver Passenger Services will adhere to scheduled departure and arrival times but does not promise to adhere to and will not be liable for any failure to meet those times considering traffic and weather conditions. The passenger must be ready to board the transporting vehicle at least 15 (fifteen) minutes before scheduled departure time. Pick up times may vary up to 15 (fifteen) minutes depending on location.
  • All scheduled services are an approximate time and although we try to run services to schedule, at times and due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control your pick up time may be slightly behind schedule, however in the event our service(s) is slightly delayed we endeavour to communicate this to our customer(s) and apologise in advance for inconvenience. We will not be held responsible for delays beyond our control; however, we will make every effort to overcome the problem and get you to your destination.
  • Alice Silver Passenger Services may substitute any other vehicle for its own vehicle and/or transship passengers and/or their luggage and these terms shall continue to apply to carriage by such substituted vehicle or transshipment.
  • Unaccompanied children 14 years and under cannot travel without prior approval from Alice Silver Passenger Services.
  • Carriage of excess luggage or other large items is conditional upon available space in the vehicle to be used for service chosen.
  • Alice Silver Passenger Services reserves the right to move you / your booking to an earlier or later departure time being subject to operational requirements and is subject to our cancellation terms and conditions. You will be notified in the event your booking has been modified.
  • The safety of our passengers and drivers is the highest priority of Alice Silver Passenger Services, therefore per our terms and conditions, all travellers must comply with current directive(s) from NT Health, which may include but not limited to wearing of face masks at all times whilst in and around vehicle (unless stated by regulation(s), the requirement to wear a face mask), the use of sanitiser upon entering and exiting vehicle and stowage of own luggage into vehicle and or trailer (if directed). If you are required to have a COVID test, directed to home quarantine and or you are enquiring about a COVID transfer, you must advise our reservations team at point of booking request of your intent and you are obligated to be transferred in a medical specific transfer vehicle. Persons utilising our services whom are seeking medical attention for COVID-19 or display symptoms are required to notify us and or our reservations team and utilise a government approved COVID transfer service to ensure risks are minimised. Alice Silver Passenger Services reserves the right not to take any persons to a medical business or hospital unless they are a front line worker with a valid identification / permit. Shuttle Bus and its associated businesses reserves the right to refuse service and terminate a booking if you have not complied with our terms and conditions of use.
  • Alice Silver Passenger Services shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or consequential upon, directly or indirectly, any abandonment of, delay in departure or delay during any trip howsoever caused.
  • These terms and conditions apply to the extent that they are not inconsistent with or in contravention of any obligation imposed upon Alice Silver Passenger Services by virtue of the provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974.

Warranties and Disclaimers

Alice Silver Passenger Services provides passenger transfers using a commercially reasonable level of skill and care and we hope that you enjoy using it. But there are certain things that we do not promise about our services. Other than expressly set out in these terms, Alice Silver Passenger Services does not make any specific promises about our services. For example, we don’t make any commitments about the specific functions of Alice Silver Passenger Services or its reliability, availability, or ability to meet your needs. Alice Silver Passenger Services and our services are provided “AS IS”.

Some jurisdictions provide for certain warranties, like the implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we exclude all warranties.

Where permitted by law, Alice Silver Passenger Services or its suppliers and distributors will not be responsible for lost profits, revenues or data, financial losses or indirect, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages.

About These Terms

Alice Silver Passenger Services reserves the right to modify any terms that apply, for example, to reflect changes to the law or changes to our services. You should look at the terms regularly. We’ll post notice of modifications to these terms on our website. We’ll post notice of modified additional terms in the applicable service. Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted. However, changes addressing new functions for a service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately. If you do not agree to the modified terms for a service, you should discontinue your use of our services.

We are constantly changing and improving Shuttle Bus, therefore we may add or remove functionalities or features, and we may suspend or stop altogether. If you do not comply with these terms, and we don’t take action right away, this doesn’t mean that we are giving up any rights that we may have (such as taking action in the future).

If it turns out that a particular term is not enforceable, this will not affect any other terms. The laws and or any applicable conflict of laws rules, will apply to any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the Services, all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or the Services will be litigated exclusively in the federal or state courts, and you and Alice Silver Passenger Services consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

By using any service(s) provided by Alice Silver Passenger Services,
